I pray that you had a nice weekend and that you are rested to start a brand new day.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.

Hurricane Season-Be informed 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Last week we enter the hurricane season. For work I needed to attend the Hurricane Season 2011 Emergency Operation training. We were briefed about the activity and someone from the National Hurricane Center told us that we should not underestimate any storm or hurricane. So we need to be prepared regardless of the category of the storm or hurricane.Watch more information http://www.miamidade.gov/hurricane/ This got me thinking that as Christians we also need to be informed and alert for the storms in our lives. Unlike houses, we don't put permanent shutters to protect our hearts. God made our hearts of flesh and blood, brave enough to love but vulnerable to pain. Therefore we have the word of God to be our shield. Storms come unannounced and they are not mentioned in the daily forecast. Sometimes storms/hurricanes cause so much damage in our lives and the shield seems not enough. Yet God is in control and even when we feel pain and there is total destruction, the word of God has supernatural power to heal the loss. The important thing is that we are informed and convicted of the power of the word of God before the storm. |
