  14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Romans 12:14-16

Thursday: Love in action:Bless and rejoice

 As I work in a 35 floor building, as Fire Warden I must be aware for any disabled person on our floor. Some people that have any handicap might panic because of their condition. Our task is to try to calm them down and reassure them that help is on the way. 

 

Love is compassionate and kind; Jesus was very compassionate and very kind. Last week I shared with you a verse that speaks about loving your enemies and that seems hard enough but if you read these verses carefully it reads "bless those who persecute you".
How many times don't we forget to bless the people we love? When was the last time that you said a blessing to the people in your life? Now when was the last time that you blessed someone who did you wrong/persecuted you?
I pray that God will soften our hearts and that we start speaking blessings to those who we love and those who persecute us, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Every day the sun comes up, whether we are ready or not. In a day we take many decisions and the time frame to evaluate each one is very short. It is my conviction that we always have enough choices but that it is more important to know what the consequences are of each action and decisions we make. Every day I write a journal entry on the topics that I personally struggle with. I share my challenges, trials, joy, sorrow and the lessons learned with my friends. Not one day goes by without praising my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his wisdom and grace. My messages are to honor my Lord and be a witness of his endless love. This love is available for all of us.
