Rejoice, this is the day the Lord has made for you and me!

Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.

A matter of perspective
14 David asked him, "Why weren't you afraid to lift your hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?"
15 Then David called one of his men and said, "Go, strike him down!" So he struck him down, and he died. 16 For David had said to him, "Your blood be on your own head. Your own mouth testified against you when you said, 'I killed the LORD's anointed.'"

We all know King David. His testimony of God's protection, faithfulness and strength is an inspiration to me and gives me perspective on the "stuff" that happens throughout the journey in this life. David was special, David was the Lord's anointed, David was called by God to be king. He was the underdog among his brothers, he was despised, he was rejected and he was surely wanted death. David had many enemies but he never did seek revenge. God was his refuge. He sinned and the only reason he repented was because he realized that he betrayed God and he could not live with that pain. David realized that nothing would succeed if he was not near God. Enemies, we will have many. Some are strangers, some are people we love. The thing is that while they offend us and they try and sometimes succeed to destroy us, they don't realize that they are attempting against God's anointed ones. They do not fear God. Do we?
