Today is a Brand New Day

"Surprise the world with a smile"

Good evening!

So it was Monday! In the Jewish culture people greet each other "Shavua tov". It means "good coming week" in Hebrew. This usually is said on Saturday or Sunday.

Lets commit our week to Jesus Christ.

         Sincerely,

Commit to the LORD whatever you do,

Proverbs 16:3

The Passion of our Christ

temptation

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."

4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Matthew 4:1-4

About this email

Every day the sun comes up, whether we are ready or not. In a day we take many decisions and the time frame to evaluate each one is very short. It is my conviction that we always have enough choices but that it is more important to know what the consequences are of each action and decisions we make. Every day I write a journal entry on the topics that I personally struggle with. I share my challenges, trials, joy, sorrow and the lessons learned with my friends. Not one day goes by without praising my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his wisdom and grace. My messages are to honor my Lord and be a witness of his endless love. This love is available for all of us.

Today I celebrate God's grace.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Monday: Jesus began his ministry

In Matthew 3, Jesus has an encounter with John. Jesus being the Son of God wanted to be baptized. John felt not fit to do so, but Jesus insisted to fulfill all righteousness. After his baptism, Jesus went into the wilderness for forty days and he was tempted by the devil. Jesus drove the devil away by repeating the scripture and the Bible states clearly that the devil left him and angels came to attend him. Matthew4:10-11
10
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only." 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

After the temptation, Jesus started his ministry and chose his disciples.

In our spiritual walk with Christ, if I look back, I went through the same process. I was baptized and then I went through this wilderness where I was tempted with several things. Until I learned the scriptures and I became more alert to the lies and tricks of the enemy, I learned to use the word as a sword to fight the enemy. It is like going through a process of sanctification. Where the old you(me) dies little by little and the new you(me) takes over your(my) life through the holy spirit. After that I started my ministry and I am continuously seeking for knowledge and wisdom through prayer so that I may continue to be a strong warrior. When I am weak I call a friend and when I become blind, my friends help me find the way back to Jesus' way.
Where are you in this process today?
Trust in the word of God, this is what the Lord said about his word in Isaiah 55:11 "so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

God bless you,
