Psalm 55:17

Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.

Greetings!

The promises of God are given to all. Through prayer we built communion between us and God. And when we pray for others we are practicing the command Jesus gave us of loving one another.

I got news about Nick in Denmark, this is what Torben & Yurika want to share with all of us:

"Hi Julieta,

Thank you so much for staying in touch! It truly is a blessing to have friends like you.

At 10 am this morning we received news that Nick technically is dead. His heart is still beating and his organs are still functioning, but his brains no longer work. A scanning showed that all brain activity has come to a halt.

It was extremely hard to receive this news and even harder to call our daughters and pass it on to them.
The family is devastated - all of them. It is so rough to see a loved one lose his life in such a meaningless way. For us personally it is also tough to be so far away from the family, now that we really need to stay together to cry with each other, comfort each other and encourage each other.
The only thing that can change the current situation is a Lazarus resurrection type of miracle.
We have almost literally set half the world in motion praying for Nick. It is so easy to be disillusioned with God, because we don't get the answer we want - and want desperately. In a situation like this it is of utmost importance for all of us to remember that "as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and will achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:9 - 11) We need to let God be God and accept that we do not see things from the same perspective as He does.

Rick Warren, a pastor whom I (Torben) follow on Twitter, said something so true of our situation just today: "Pain produces passion which leads to prayer which leads to intimacy with God." The intimacy with God may be what some of us needed, and praying for Nick gave us a taste of just that. We are deeply thankful to everyone who have been praying for Nick and for us and want to say: Don't lose the intimacy that you have gained. Keep finding people and situations to pray earnestly for. Retain the intimacy with the Lord.

If that is the fruit that we are to harvest, then that is beautiful in itself. Lives changed and transformed by coming close to God is really a priceless gift.

Thank you to everyone for continued prayers for the family.

Blessings in Christ,

Torben & Yurika"

Thank you for your kind gift of prayers for those in need of support.

The kingdom of heaven
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

- Matthew 5:3-9

Trust in the word of God, this is what the Lord said about his word in Isaiah 55:11 "so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

God bless you,
