Holy Trinity Sunday
June 2012

The Sunday after Pentecost is celebrated each year as Trinity Sunday, a day on which the church meditates on the mystery of our God, one divine unity in three distinct presences.

It is the first Sunday of the month, which means we will have our Fair Trade Mercado directly following the liturgy.

NOTE: This is the last service at 11:00 am for a while.  Summer schedule (10:00 am service) starts next Sunday, June 10.

Prayer List

Think about starting a "practice of praying" for the Chapel this week -- around the table before a meal, before bedtime, in the morning as you prepare to depart for a busy day. Use this list and remember those in need. We invite your prayers for:

For David who finished treatments this past week

For Margaret who will have surgery this coming week

For Betty who has cancer

For Jennifer's brother Scot, Arlene, JR, David, Laura, Lucas' mother, Jackson's friend Matt, Pr. Jeff's friend Bryan, as they continue with medical treatment

For our friend Troy and his mother, Donna

For all who struggle with eating disorders

For Charlie and Ray, who are living with terminal cancer, and for their families and supporting communities

For spouses, marriages, and partnerships; especially in difficult times

Paschal Candle Stand

Take notice on Sunday of the spectacular new stand to hold our paschal candle.

The stand was hand fashioned out of wood by Pr. Jeff's father, Dale Johnson and is a gift to our worshiping community.

Thank you Dale!

Vote on your priorities!

social justice

The Social Justice team is in the process of determining its priorities for 2012. Our team is making this process external this year because we want to make sure that we know the issues that the Chapel cares about and develop a process around the social justice allocation in the budget.

Determining the chapel's priority areas is the first step in that process.

Please vote here before June 17th!

ELCA Malaria Fund

Working though Lutheran churches in Africa, the ELCA Malaria Campaign is uniquely positioned to provide mosquito nets, insecticides, medication, health care, education and more to help eliminate deaths from this disease-for good.

At our joint Pentecost service last week at PLTS we raised $350 for the ELCA Malaria Fund.  Thank You to everyone who contributed!
