Greetings!
Marketing never stops changing, however, the tools to effectively market yourself continue to improve and become less costly. Many of the great tools are free. In this issue, we've laid out a few of them that you can easily adapt to your own projects or business. Pass this along to your friends so they can enjoy the information we will be providing during our regular updates.

social mediaWhat we've been
up to...

We have had a couple of good weeks working on a variety of issues for businesses and organizations. Since the last newsletter we've helped

  1. a non-profit children's organization develop a strategic plan.
  2. a self-help group organize and promote an upcoming convention at a posh resort, hoping to attract 600 registrants. The Internet programs we set up is making the promotion and payment process seamless and easy.
  3. a non-profit art organization seeking to recreate an outdated web site.
  4. advised a client after their comments were not appropriately understood by the news media.

We used Google Docs to share information, Google websites for intranet systems and a separate site for board members to highlight missions and programs underway. As a result, board members were up to date, members informed and the groups were on a solid financial pace for the future.

The best part was all these programs are free! We can do the same for your group or foundation. The consultation is free.

Big Event, Good Participation, Many Volunteers - How to coordinate a successful public forum

Last month, we coordinated a successful Candidate Forum sponsored by four civic groups, 25 candidates, and 6 political organizations. The challenge involved a revolving door of changes to the agenda and participants. We needed 30 volunteers to help run the event, cast ballots, serve refreshments, set-up, decorate, and make sure the forum ran smoothly.

To keep the candidates, media, and other organizations informed, we created a free Google website for the event. Initial set-up only took about 10 minutes. To coordinate the many volunteers, we created a Google document that was forwarded to the presidents of each sponsoring group, outlining where help was needed. The link to that document remained the same, however the information was updated daily. All parties involved could keep track of the status as we moved forward.

The event was a great success, with over 400 people in attendance. Afterward, to secure post-event input, we created a survey using the free Google Forms. The results of the balloting as well as the results of the after action survey where sent to all participants.

We learned a lot from the experience and are willing to bring similar success to your upcoming events. The consultation is free.

Get Engagement - Create Content People Want

We had some positive feedback from our last E-Newsletter, and were tickled with the response, however, we want to make sure we are delivering interesting content.

We need to practice what we preach, so below is a survey to measure what you think of the newsletter and how we can improve.

The second survey is a place where you can submit questions or suggestions for newsletter topics.

To accommodate your busy lifestyle, the survey is only two questions.

First Survey - Newsletter Usefulness

Second Survey (similar to Ann Landers :) - Ask Us a Question
