Board President's Letter:
We are moving forward. We have our new offices at 2025 March Lane Ste. #5 and are enjoying our Sunday fellowship at Delta College. The energy and smiling faces at both the office and on Sundays is heart warming. We have a lot of work to do, but people are pitching in, rolling up their sleeves, helping out and smiling and laughing. It's wonderful and I want to invite you to see me or Marylee, or any of our Board members, to find out how you can be a part of the excitement beyond our Sunday fellowship. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow congregants. Some of us have been attending Unity for years and are getting used to the change in location, some are new and never knew our home of many decades, and some have returned. I am always excited to see familiar faces and new faces and am so grateful for both!
We will be planning many classes, workshops and events over the next year and I look forward to growing together as a community. We will be having an open house at our new offices and as mentioned, many more events. We will be posting volunteer opportunities shortly, but you don't have to wait for us to post our volunteer needs. Please feel free to let us know how you would like to contribute to our growing, evolving spiritual community. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life and be able to serve as your Board President. Thank you for this opportunity.
Blessings,
Lynn |

February 12's Weekly "Homework"
Last week we talked about ways to anchor happiness in our lives and I shared with you 5 points from Shawn Anchor from Ted TV. If we approach life from a "happy" frame of reference we are 25-45% more likely to succeed in our lives! That is a strong statistic.
So, knowing that it takes 21 days to begin to form a habit, if we try these suggestions for 21 days in a row, we are cultivating happiness.
Method:
1. Write down 3 gratitudes each day, with no repeats! This teaches us a patter of scanning our world for the positive things in our lives.
2. Journal one positive experience in the last 24 hours. Write down the story.
3. Exercise, teaching us that behavior matters.
4. Meditate. This helps us move past our "cultural ADHD" of trying to multitask all the time, and instead focus on the task at hand.
5. Perform one random act of kindness in the form of one positive appreciative email a day.
Enjoy the challenge!
