| President's Message: Our Community Spirit |
September 10th marks Solera National Bank's 5th Anniversary. As we reflect on the past five years, we are pleased to recount solid growth despite the recession, new and improved avenues to address your customer service needs, and, most exciting of all, ColoradoBiz Magazine is giving us the Diversity Corporation of the Year Award!
It has been a great year, and it is only getting better. As part of our dedication to giving back to our community, we launched the Community Spirit Campaign. We introduced this new endeavor with the Community Spirit Grant Contest on Facebook (read more about the winner below), and we’re taking it into autumn with a Financial Literacy Program for Denver-area schools (details below). And, to top it off, we’re hosting a Customer Appreciation luncheon at our branch from 11a.m.-1p.m. on September 14 at 319 S. Sheridan Blvd. To learn more about Solera's Community Spirit efforts, please visit our Facebook page for daily updates and our Solera Says blog for more details on our programs.
Sincerely,
Doug Crichfield, CEO/President Solera National Bank |

| Community Spirit Grant: Congratulations to the Shiloh House! |
Please join us in congratulating the Shiloh House for winning the $2,000 Community Spirit Grant! Each of the 12 videos submitted thoroughly inspired us. And we were particularly impressed with the six finalists who worked hard to garner votes from their fans. Our other finalists included: Camp Paha and Paha Adults in Transition, Art from Ashes, Mile High Youth Corps, Centro San Juan Diego, and Variety of Colorado. You can view the winner and the six finalists' videos on our YouTube page, and read more about all our applicants on our Solera Says News Blog.

| Teaching Your Kids Financial Literacy |
“Why is my credit score so important?” “How do I manage my accounts?” “How do I achieve a good credit score?” “How can I create a budget?” The world of money is confusing. And it’s difficult to manage your own wealth if you have financial questions that you don't know the answers to. Levels of financial literacy are closely linked to debt management, which is why Solera National Bank is now offering Literacy Programs for Denver-area schools.

| Brenda Marquez: Dedicated to Service |
“I wouldn’t leave this job for anything,” says Brenda Marquez. “I can’t imagine myself anywhere else.” Marquez considers her position as a personal banker at Solera ideal. She thrives in a role that requires something many of us just shudder thinking about—math skills, while also demonstrating her knack for communicating these complicated concepts to her customers (in two languages no less).
