| President's Message: Our Community Spirit |
|
Since the inception of Solera National Bank, we have been deeply involved with our community. We sponsor and publicize the events of area nonprofits, and we encourage our employees to serve on their boards. We open up our facilities for your networking groups; we welcome dignitaries to Denver by hosting receptions, and we provide financial education through workshops and outreach to schools.
|
This summer we decided to take our support one step further by offering the first of what we hope will become an annual Community Spirit Grant. We are not only offering a $2,000 grant to a Denver-area nonprofit, but we will also promote that nonprofit on all our social media sites, including our website, blog, and in related press releases published by local media.
Our goal with this campaign is to engage the Denver community in a totally different way, primarily via social media. Entrants will develop a creative and captivating video telling the community about a project for which they need support. They will publish that video on Solera’s Facebook page. Then, community members can vote on the most compelling entries. The Solera Bank staff will then choose the $2,000 grant recipient from the six videos receiving the most votes.
A bonus for participating nonprofits is they can use these videos for this contest as well as for other promotional purposes. We encourage people to include links to their donation pages to raise funds during and after the contest. But, most of all, we hope participants have fun and engage the Denver community.
We welcome you to the next stage of Solera National Bank’s community involvement. For more details, please visit our Facebook page or Solera Says blog.
Sincerely,
Doug Crichfield, CEO/President Solera National Bank |

Banking is all about relationships. At least that’s how Solera’s new Business Development Officer Chris Martinez felt when he changed careers from retail to banking 15 years ago. “Banking offered me the perfect opportunity to make a difference in peoples’ lives.”
