The 2010 Winnebago County Fair is fast approaching! Not only is this the 155th Anniversary of the Fair BUT it is ALSO the 100th Anniversary of the Winnebago County Fair Association!

With so many SPECIAL events in the works, I thought, "Why not a newsletter to help keep everyone up to date?"

But it only works if someone reads it, so...please be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to sign up to receive it Also, feel free to give me your suggestions as to what you would like to see included!

Who's Performing Saturday Night?

We can finally announce...

Chris Cagle will be "rockin' " the stage in the Entertainment Tent on Saturday night! This #1 Country performer/songwiter is a definate "wanna be there" act. (Check out our website to find links to some of his videos.) AND...we are excited to let you know that both Friday night AND Saturday night, Jay Taylor will be returning oo our stage as the opening act! Friday evening he will be opening for RiverBilly and Saturday - Chris Cagle!

Fairest of the Fair Competition

The Fairest of the Fair program is a public relations position for young woman in the county. Fairest of the Fair is NOT a beauty contest, but rather a contest that focuses on the young woman's poise, personality, confidence, community involvement, speaking ability and the ability to think on her feet.

During the week of the Winnebago County Fair, she serves as the official hostess of the fair, which includes giving speeches, introducing entertainment and handing out ribbons to the youth.
