The Government is phasing out CCR and other online databases and replacing them with System Award Management (SAM). This seminar at (9:30 - 12:00pm @ Gateway Community College) will advise you about SAM and instruct you on the SAM process. Attention Newtown Agricultural Growers - $14 million grant funds available
Timing is tight - October 15th is the application deadline
The Rural Business-Cooperative Service of the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced the availability of grants through the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) Program for Fiscal Year 2012. Approximately $14 million in competitive grant funds is available to help agricultural producers enter into value-added activities.

Since opening in mid July, the office has assisted approximately 12 entrepreneurs in the greater Newtown area. The EDC would like to remind all Newtown entrepreneurs SCORE is available for your use, guidance and counseling for FREE.
An appointment in the Newtown Municipal building can be set up by calling the SCORE call center at 203-794-1404.
