Young Alumni Council (YAC) lead gifts will serve as the matching segment of a solicitation campaign designed to encourage more young alumni (graduates within the last 10 years) to donate. We are in the process of developing electronic collateral that will highlight their financial support and ask others to contribute by texting a donation.

Has the football team qualified for the CIAA Football Championship?

Yes, the Rams have clinched the Southern Division Championship and will take on the Northern Division Champion (yet to be determined) in the CIAA Football Championship on November 12, 2011. The game will be played at Durham County Stadium at 1:00 pm.  Tickets are $20. The athletic department will be sponsoring a bus to the game for HORN$ members and special guests.

What are the football team's opportunities for post season play?
The Rams are currently 7-0 and are ranked #11 in the country among all NCAA Division II football teams by the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) poll. The top ranked 16 schools will participate in post season play in route to the NCAA Division II Championship. The Rams will close out the season by hosting Edward Waters (Oct. 22) and Shaw (Oct 29) at home and then be on the road at UNC Pembroke November 5th.

How do I get season basketball tickets?
Basketball season is right around the corner. Season tickets are available in the WSSU ticket office for $75 and include tickets for all home men's and women's basketball games. The men's team opens up at home against Talladega on November 11. The first home double header is scheduled for November 22 when the women's team will take on Georgia College and State University at 5:30 p.m. and the men will play Allen University at 7:30 p.m.
