The Northshore Schools Foundation is thrilled to feature former astronaut as the keynote speaker at this year's luncheon. Dunbar, whose extraordinary story began on a little cattle ranch near Sunnyside in Central Washington, is one of just 51 women who have blasted into space, five times! Dr. Dunbar currently serves as Director of Higher Education & S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) for Boeing. She has received the Washington State Medal of Merit and been named a Woman of Influence by the Puget Sound Business Journal; and previously served as Executive Director of Wings Over Washington, and the President and CEO of the Museum of Flight in Seattle. . A local University of Washington College of Engineering graduate, Dunbar will speak about her passion for education, especially S.T.E.M. Education |
