Northshore Schools Foundation

Greetings!

At this time of year, we want to express our gratitude to you for your support of our students and the Northshore Schools Foundation.

Thanks to you, this year we have:

  • Funded 11 Innovative Classroom Grants,
  • Supplied leveled book sets for new elementary teachers,
  • Provided our McKinney Vento Students with much needed support,
  • Scholarshipped 13 teachers' participation in the UW support group for National Board Teacher Certification,
  • Invested in leadership and business programs at the high school level,
  • Partnered to provide tutoring and health opportunities for junior high students and so much more.

Thank you for your generous investment in the Northshore Schools Foundation.  Your individual gifts combine to make a big impact on students and education in this district.

The students at Bear Creek Elementary are so happy with the useful fitness mats! They are now able to perform their fitness testing and learn new stretching techniques. Thank you for making this possible.

We are SO appreciative of this year's grant. We have gotten some great books and will be able to stretch our budget over the entire school year. If we didn't have the extra funding, our budget would already be depleted, and the new books getting great reviews would have to be put on hold until next year.

Many thanks,

I wanted to share a word of thanks for our wonderful grant.  Each of our students is significantly impacted by their disability.  We wanted something for our classrooms that would benefit every child as much as possible.  The chairs funded by the Foundation grants allow our students to remain more focused and engaged in classroom activities because they know where their body is in space.  They are less distracted, less likely to touch their peers, and more likely to make faster progress on a variety of social and cognitive goals.

Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving!
