Did you know that Tech now has the same levels of CO2 emissions as the airline industry?
Join us for this special Clean Tech Breakfast Session where you will learn how to leverage incentives and reduce your footprint.
Moderated by Terry Mocherniak, Co-Founder and COO of Encelium Technologies, this event will provide insight on how to leverage the conservation assistance programs in the development of your technology, service and business.
Featuring presentations by John Sherin, Manager of the Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Department at PowerStream Inc., and R. Wayne Proulx, Director of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Toronto's Conservation & Demand Management (CDM) Program.
This event is sponsored by Integrated Monitoring Solutions (www.goims.ca) a Markham based company specializing in environmental monitoring solutions. Inaugural York Technology Leadership Awards and Member Recognition Luncheon
Thursday, June 10, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us as we celebrate and learn from the successes of leaders and peers in the tech community. Three inaugural awards will be presented this June as we recognize the achievements of these companies and their leaders in the categories of: Start-up Company of the Year; Scale-up Company of the Year; and Company of the Year.
Each award recipient will share insights, lessons and pitfalls of their success - and will be open to discussion through the panel moderator on how their learning may turn into your 'shortcuts to success'. The panel will be moderated by Kevin Tribe of Tequity Inc, Past Chair of the YTA.
Board Introduces the Inaugural YTA Technology Leadership Awards on June 17th 2010
The inaugural YTA Technology Leadership Awards are developed to recognize tech companies from the Region of York and throughout the Greater Toronto Area that have demonstrated innovation and leadership in their field; having developed, advanced and grown their businesses and in doing so further strengthened their people, the sustainability of the business and their involvement in the tech community.
The Chair of the YTA will proudly present the 2010 YTA Technology Leadership Awards to area companies in three categories:
- Most Promising Start-up
- Scale-up Company
- Company of the Year
Member Recognition and Awards Celebration
Leaders from the selected award recipients will join us in a panel presentation to discuss:
- Their growth ‘premise’ – what goals, outlook, and perspectives did they have when setting out;
- The two or three most important ‘shortcuts to success’;
- One favourite ‘ah ha’ event or moment; and
- One mistake that they learned from and would warn others to watch out for.
Thank you to Meyers Norris Penny for supporting the YTA Awards program as the Platinum Sponsors of this inaugural awards program.
