About a month ago, you may have received my letter asking for your support of River Oak's Holiday Giving Drive. While the rush of the holiday season may be over, the need of our families for support never stops.
If you have already made a donation, thank you! If you are still considering a gift, it's not too late. We hope we can still count on you to help our children and families get the New Year off to a great start! You can make your donation online or by downloading our mail-in contribution form.
Your tax-deductible donation to the Holiday Giving Drive will fund some of the most vital programs and services we offer to our children and families throughout the year. For example, through your support River Oak can:
- Provide basic needs to families such as clothing, blankets, diapers, and formula
- Help low-income children and teens pursue their interests in science, music, or the arts by sending them to lessons and camps that will help them develop their talent, self-esteem, and self-confidence
- Continue offering support groups to River Oak families to help diminish the stress and sense of isolation common among caregivers of emotionally and behaviorally challenged children and youth.
The possilbilites for growth and renewed hope are endless for our families in 2010 with your support. Thank you for your continued interest in and commitment to the well-being and safety of disadvantaged children in our community.
