Greetings!
As a non profit agency, Angels truly relies on a multitude of vibrant partnerships, from foster families and Santa Barbara County Courts and Social Services to private foundations, donors and community supporters, to meet our mission of providing excellent care and nurturance to very young children. One integral part of this support system is the Angels' Board of Directors who oversee the operations of Angels while also helping to plan for Angels' future.
I'm happy to introduce this year's Board of Directors:
Michelle Richardson, President
Sue McCollum, JD, Vice President
Susan McMillan, Secretary/Treasurer
Carol Brown
Jeff Lipshitz, MD
Peter Mueller
Leanna Moore Watson
Meichelle Arntz
Angels' Advisory Board:
Charish Barry, MD
Margot Clarke, Volunteer Coordinator
Lucy Ortega, Medical Liaison
Hugh Spackman, JD
Many thanks to these individuals for their commitment and service to Angels. It is greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Jennifer

A message from Stacy
As many of you know, I have been in the midst of a season of crisis and loss. I was uprooted from my work at Angels suddenly in early January as I began experiencing severe pregnancy complications. My husband, Jon, and I welcomed a precious baby boy, Drake William Peterson, into the world on January 31, 2012. Three days after his birth, he passed away on February 3, due to heart failure.
We have relied on our faith and the support of others during this very difficult time. Jon and I are both deeply grateful to be surrounded by such a loving community. I'm especially grateful to work with an amazing team of women who have graciously stepped up to fill in the gaps and carry my load. Also, I've been touched by many of you, members of the Angels family, who have reached out to express care and concern. I can't thank you enough.
Day by day, I am experiencing healing, both physically and emotionally. I look forward to returning to work and plan to resume my position within the next month.
-Stacy Peterson, MSW
