Greetings!

Welcome to Park Life.

With summer on its way we are busy putting the finishing touches to our summer events programme to make sure residents and visitors to the New Forest National Park are spoilt for choice on how to enjoy, explore and learn about this special place.

There is plenty to do in May. If you would like to escape the rain visit the Red House Museum, Christchurch to view our joint photographic exhibition showcasing New Forest Local Heros and enjoy an open-art exhibition where budding artists were challenged to produce works of art using only the colours gold, silver and bronze.

If you like to get out and about visit our events web page for one of our many summer activities. On 26 May we will once again be 'bio blitzing' the New Forest, looking to record as many species of wildlife as possible in 24 hours. Come along and join in one of the many activities.

Read more about how we are working with a local charity to help young people with special needs cycle with their families; how you could get involved in the New Forest Access Forum; what we are doing to try and reduce animal accidents, and if you live in the National Park and have a question about planning read our 'frequently asked planning questions'.

Finally, if you have an interest in butterflies visit our new series of web pages to see what butterflies live here in the New Forest.

Best wishes,

The New Forest National Park Authority team
