Greetings!

Welcome to the February issue of Park Life.

This issue focuses on volunteering in the New Forest. Come along to the second annual Volunteer Fair at Lyndhurst Community Centre on Saturday 3 March. The New Forest Remembers - untold stories of World War II team will be there promoting opportunities to get involved in recording people's memories of the war and surveying World War II structures and remains.

Also in this edition - learn more about subsidised training courses in traditional building techniques; how an underwater film about wrecks in the westerm Solent has been nominated for an archaeology 'Oscar'; the National Park building design guide aimed at helping to protect the New Forest's distinctive character; and the launch of 'Love our Land', celebrating the much-loved features of the South East's National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural beauty.

Finally, if you enjoy photography, writing, painting or making sculptures there is still time to enter our Olympic art competition.

Best wishes,
