Iconic red phone box gets new lease of life

Telephone boxes looked set to be a thing of the past, but not any more thanks to the hard work of local residents, Lyndhurst Parish Council and the New Forest National Park Authority.

New view of Hurst Castle

Visitors can now discover more about the archaeological and historical significance of the New Forest coast and the Solent channel.

New nature reserve for Landford

Rangers from the New Forest National Park Authority are working with local volunteers from Landford to turn an area of disused ground into a small nature reserve.

Help for traditional building skills

Traditional skills to repair New Forest buildings are receiving a boost thanks to subsidised training from the New Forest National Park Authority. Small business in the New Forest can apply for courses in repairs to timber-frame buildings, cob walling and using lime plaster and render.
