I'm a non-native plant - get me out of here!Non Native Plants officer

 

Over 100 experts gathered to discuss how to rid our waterways and landscapes of invasive plants at a conference hosted by the New Forest Non-Native Plants Project. 

The project is part-funded by the National Park Authority and has just been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Visitors to picturesque Burley in the New Forest will be encouraged to use new pony-proof litter bins in a bid to protect the village's four-legged inhabitants.

Ponies are a familiar sight in the popular beauty spot, but are often put at risk by eating unsuitable food and litter left by the public. Find out more...
