£16m windfall for New Forest  
Launch of the HLS scheme
 
A landmark conservation scheme - the biggest in England and possibly Europe - has been agreed to support the grazing of animals on the New Forest and to restore landscapes. The Higher Level Environmental Stewardship (HLS) scheme will bring £16m in to the area over 10 years. Find out more.

New CEO Alison Barnes
Alison Barnes has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the New Forest National Park Authority.
 
Alison joins the Authority from Natural England, the Government's countryside adviser, where she is Regional Director for London. Read more.

Forest Watch to tackle rural issues 
  
Sgt Louise HubbleSgt Louise Hubble is the face of a new partnership project to tackle rural community issues including wildlife and environmental crime in the New Forest.
 
The officer is heading up Forest Watch - led by the National Park Authority, Hampshire Constabulary and partners to look at everything from fly-tipping to poaching, arson and nuisance vehicles.

Celebrate the spring opening of the New Forest Reptile Centre and the launch of its live nest cam on Saturday 3 April.
 
There are crafts and activities for the whole family, with games and a trail at this event supported by the National Park Authority. Find out more.
