Industry News
There is a trend in the industry where people are installing Agglomerate tile, and a concern with these tiles is that they are marble chips and resin. The truth is they are marble dust and resin and they do not like moisture, even the water moisture in with the thin set which bonds the tiles in place. Please folks, just say no if someone suggest installing this in your home or business. Another problem these days is shower window perimeters. If you experience grout, calking or silicone failure please make sure that the water does not get behind the walls. When installing a shower with a window make sure that the slope is good - 1/4 inch per foot is a good minimum standard. |
