RECITAL TICKETS
Purchase and pick up Recital tickets starting Saturday, May 15 from 10:00am-2:00pm.
Every student performing in the Recital will receive 4 free tickets. Please remember there will be NO TICKETS available to be sold at the door on WSSU campus!!!

RECITAL DVD'S OF PERFORMANCES
 You may purchase a DVD for $45.00. Friday Night, Saturday Matinee & Saturday Night performances are available on DVD, so please specify which performance when you fill out your order form. Personal videotaping and flash photography will not be allowed at the performances, because this is dangerous to our performers! |

RECITAL T-SHIRTS
Orders will be DUE by Saturday, May 15! Get your order in now! The shirt will have our theme, Flashback (10 year anniversary), on the front and the names of the performing students on the back. Orders must be turned in on time. No extra shirts will be ordered and late orders are not an option. If you need an order form, please see the office.

PICTURE WEEK MAY 10-14, 2010
Picture Week is May 10-14. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR COSTUME! Have your hair and make up fixed as we discussed in class. The photographer will take individual pictures, if you want, and take a group shot.

NAMES IN COSTUMES AND SHOES (IMPORTANT!)
It is very important to make sure that the student's name is in all shoes and costumes. This is especially important at performance time so that the student has what they need to go on stage, as well as, we can identify it from other students. Please check your child's shoes to ensure they fit properly for the performance.

DRESS REHEARSAL Dress rehearsal is Thursday, June 24 from 2:00pm - 9:30pm. It will be held at the Williams Auditorium at Winston-Salem State University. All students must attend dress rehearsal in order to perform in the recital. It is very important to attend to ensure that everyone will have a successful performance. Parents can drop their child/children off back stage. Parents are not allowed to stay backstage. There will then be signs leading to the backstage area where performers will stay. There will be assigned teachers and helpers to then take the students to their proper dressing area. During both the dress rehearsal and the recital there will be teachers and helpers assigned to supervise and assist your children. Once your child has practiced each piece they are in, at Dress Rehearsal, they may be picked up. Please be at the Williams Auditorium at WSSU at the beginning of your scheduled time slot, dressed and ready. We will be handing out the Dress Rehearsal schedule the first week in May.

BEGINNERS INTIMATE RECITAL
 The students performing in this recital need to be in the Williams Auditorium at WSSU on Saturday Morning June 26, 2010 at 9:00am. The Intimate Recital performance will begin at 10:00am for any family and friends. This performance is free for anyone who would like to attend. Students performing are beginning voice, piano, guitar, violin, drum, and dance students. |

RECITAL! RECITAL! RECITAL!
Recital Dates are June 25-26. The recital on Friday Night and Saturday Night will be held at 7:00pm.The performers need to be dropped off backstage by 6:00pm. The Saturday Matinee performance will be at 2:00pm and performers will need to be backstage by 1:00pm. There will be teachers and helpers to help get your child where they need to be, as well as, supervise and assist them backstage. Students must remain backstage during the performances.
At the Friday and Saturday evening performances,the Creative Movement classes will be released at the edge of the stage to a parent during 1st intermission. All 5 & 6 year olds will be released at the edge of the stage to a parent during 2nd intermission. All remaining children will be picked up backstage after the show.
At the Saturday Matinee performance the Creative Movement class will be released at the edge of the stage to a parent during 1st intermission. All remaining children will be picked up backstage after the show.
If your child wishes to enjoy the rest of the performance, they may sit on the lap of an adult or if there is a seat available with you, they may take a seat there. |

DO'S AND DON'TS OF RECITAL.
PLEASE REVIEW WITH CHILD!!!
· No underwear under costumes · No nail polish on fingers or toes · No jewelry · No gum · No Sodas allowed back stage. You may want to bring a water bottle and a non-messy snack. We do not want food or drink to be spilled on costumes or in the Dressing Room · Hair and Make-up fixed as specified in class · Performers should have pink leather ballet shoes, black jazz shoes, and black tap shoes. Refer to your costume sheet. · Make sure your shoes are in good condition and fit. · Make sure you have all the pieces to your costumes. If you lose something there are no extras so you may not be able to perform. · Make sure your name is in all of your shoes and costume pieces. · Always act appropriately on and off stage. · Please be quiet on and off stage. · Stretch and warm-up before you perform · If you are not dressing or helping a younger class, wait in your dressing area out of the other performers way. We have some students who have quick changes. · No performers should be in the audience except for the classes that were released at intermission. Those performers released at intermission that return to the audience to enjoy the rest of the show MUST be out of costume and in regular street clothes. · Performers need to be responsible and organized!! Keep all of your things together · No Parents backstage. Drop off students at the designated area. Just follow the signs. There are teachers and helpers responsible for the younger classes. · Friday and Saturday evening performances, Creative Movement classes will be released at the edge of the stage, to a parent, during 1st intermission. 5 & 6 year olds will be released at the edge of the stage, to a parent, during 2nd intermission. SUMMER 2010
Pre-School Summer Camp Ages 3-5 during June & July. Tuesdays and Thurdays 9:00am-12:00pm. Choose 1st or 2nd session or both. We will have activities with dance, music, crafts, story telling, tumble, and theme days. Summer Camp is offered for students 5-12yrs. July 12-16 & July 26-30 for half days 9am-12pm or full days 9am-4pm. Before and After camp care is available for an extra fee. Your child will learn skills in dance, voice, musical theatre, and drama in a fun and exciting environment. Technique Week is offered to those students 9 years and up from July 19-23. This camp teaches you how to master turns, leaps, jumps, and tricks! Dance experience required. Full day camp is 9am-4pm. |

This Year and Next Year!
- Make sure you register for the 2010-2011 school year! Class size are limited so register NOW to hold your spot.
- If we do not have at least 7 students in each class, those classes will be cancelled.
- Fall classes will start back the week of August 2, 2010. We hope to see all of you next year!
- Don't forget there are no 2009-2010 classes after the Recital.
