| Good News - Health Insurance Premiums are more stable in 2011 |

Last weeks we all received good news, when Blue Shield dropped its plans to raise premiums this year. Following discussions with State Insurance Commissioner Jones, Anthem Blue Cross has become the second major California insurer to alter its plans for rate hikes. Anthem will lower its planned July premium hikes,  including increases to co-payments and deductibles, from 16.4 percent to 9.1 percent. Anthem claims to have lost $110 million in 2010 and expects to lose millions more in 2011. However, one of the reasons for the decreased sales in 2010 would have to be the fact that in the last quarter of 2010, very few individual Anthem plans were available.

It provides individuals with assistance in daily living in tasks such as bathing, eating, use of the toilet and dressing. Long term care can also include speech or occupational therapy, or assistance with light housekeeping and the preparation of meals.
