Cary, N.C. - Doug Cowles, president and CEO of HMI, introduced the first ever Service Warranty for post-storm tree cleanup and restoration. The warranty, known as treeShield®, is available exclusively through HMI's Authorized Member (AM) network of professional tree care companies and covers the costs for post-storm cleanup and restoration services that can include fallen tree and tree debris removal, hazardous tree and limb removal, restorative pruning and cabling for damaged trees.

"HMI is excited to support this new and innovative service that we feel will become the gold standard for professional tree care," says Cowles. "Recent storms have caused a great deal of damage and this upcoming storm season is expected to be another active one so people are understandably concerned about the costs they may incur should any of their trees be damaged. We believe treeShield® can ease some of this concern. treeShield® is only offered through HMI's AMs that are all professional tree care companies skilled in preparing trees to withstand adverse weather events. If, however, damage does occur the treeShield® Warranty is designed to eliminate or minimize the expense of clean-up and restoration. It is our hope that treeShield® will lend peace of mind during a difficult time and promote the benefits of working with high quality and professional tree care companies."

Initially treeShield® will be available only to residential property owners and homeowners' associations but plans are to extend to commercial properties in early 2012. If you have any questions or would like more information concerning treeShield® please contact HMI (www.HMIadvantage.com or 866-937-6468).
