HMI Adds Joshua Tree
to Authorized Member Network

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMarch 14, 2011
Cary, N.C. - Doug Malawsky, executive vice president and COO of HMI, announced that Joshua Tree joined its Authorized Member (AM) Network. HMI provides property owners, insurers, and others with a full suite of support services for trees and shrubs, including emergency removals, inspections, cause of loss analysis, and replacement cost calculations. HMI's AMs are a national network of arborists and professional tree care companies that support these products and services. Joshua Tree will support HMI's programs in Northampton and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Hunterdon, Warren and Somerset Counties in New Jersey.

"We are overjoyed to have Joshua Tree join our network," said Malawsky. "They are an excellent company and they cover an area where HMI was looking to supplement our current coverage and which experiences extreme weather events. HMI's success in promoting the services of its members to its insurance clientele is dependent upon having a national foot print of leading companies. Joshua Tree is a great example of a professional and customer service oriented company that will allow HMI to further educate insurance adjusters and property owners about the value of having tree work done by qualified companies."

"HMI's declared mission statement to educate the insurance industry about the importance of working with quality tree care companies is what attracted us to their network," said Joshua Malik, owner of Joshua Tree. "As a company that is focused on customer service, we want to ensure that home owners have access to professional tree care whether it is for day-to-day maintenance or to remove a tree that has fallen on a home. HMI is assisting the tree care industry and home owners alike by guiding insurers away from using the services of substandard companies despite the attempts of these vulture companies to underbid us at every opportunity."

Members of HMI's AM Network provide property owners with risk mitigation services, tree removal/repair and replacement services, and all other services related to tree loss and damage recovery. Other services include reports to support subrogation actions, and replacement costs for lost trees and shrubs. AM Network members receive work referrals and discounted pricing on HMI's treeFacts Reports. In addition, HMI's treeFacts Inventory Software is made available exclusively to HMI's AM Network.
