Space Still Available for Student Government West Institute      

 

Institute season is upon us! It cranked up last weekend with Huge Leadership Weekend and continues with the Programming Basics Institute starting today in Philadelphia.  

 

While most remaining institutes are now full for 2011, there is still space available for Student Government West, which will take place July 7-10 in Denver, CO. You must act fast, though, as registration closes at the end of the day today!

Important Central & Mid America Deadlines

Mid America Showcase Selection Committee  

Applications are still available for the NACAŽ Mid America Showcase Selection Committee, but only until the end of the day today!  

 

We are looking for students and staff that are interested in selecting the showcases for NACA Mid America 2011.  The Showcase Selection will be held July 14-17, 2011. NACA covers the cost of transportation, meals, and lodging for the selection meeting. Applicants will be expected to attend the entire showcase selection process.

 

The Showcase Selection Committee is responsible for the artist selection for showcases presented at the Mid America Regional Conference. The Showcase Selection process involves reviewing audio/visual and printed material submitted by NACA associate members and selecting showcases following discussion and deliberation. A broad view of campus activities and a strong ability to work through the decision-making process as a group member is essential to the process. If you have any questions, please contact Dani Hiar. NACA Foundation Scholarships   

 

The NACAŽ Foundation offers numerous scholarships that are available to graduate students, undergraduate student leaders and associate members on an annual basis. Campus Updates   

 

Ally Randolph, Student Member to the NACA™ Board of Directors from 2009-2011, recently graduated from Western Illinois University with an M.S Ed in College Student Personnel. Ally has returned to her hometown of St. Louis, where she has taken a job as Program Coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis at the Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.

 

Jimmy Doan, NACA™ Leadership Fellow for 2010-11 completed his degree in higher education and student affairs administration at the University of Vermont in May and has taken a new job as Program Coordinator in Student Activities at Bentley College (MA).

 

Justin Camputaro, past leader in NACA South, has taken a new position effective July 11 as the Director of Student Centers and Activities at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
