Educational Sessions, International Initiatives, and YOU!
Now that we have your attention and with the fast approaching deadline for educational session submissions for the regional conference season, we'd like to encourage you to help spread the good word of NACA's international initiatives. With a year under our belts of helping to globalize the association, we're ready to have a stronger presence on the regional radar scene!
How can this happen as it relates to the educational sessions? It's easy, innovative and fun! Are you racking your brain on a different topic that you can present at your regional conference? Do you want to present something that you've done on the international scene that's unique and unlike other sessions you have presented? Do you, someone you work with and/or do you have students that have studied/worked overseas? If so, please consider presenting on your international experiences to educate and inspire students to study/work/live abroad! Maybe invite someone from your Study Abroad or International Affairs office to present with you...possibly with a student leader who has studied abroad to share their experiences and answer such questions like "I want to study abroad and I'm a student leader...can I do both?" or "How to make the best out of your leadership experience abroad." Or do you and your programming board do amazing programs with an international focus geared towards international, domestic and/or immigrant students encouraging global citizenship of your campus population? Then submit it to share it with your region...all in the spirit of making the world smaller!
The International Committee is ready to help bring a worldly vibe to your region in collaboration with the experiences and knowledge of your staff and student delegates. If you have any questions or want to talk to us about the NACA's international initiative, we'd love to hear from you. please email us at:

Deadly Tornadoes Continue
This week's devastating tornadoes in the Midwest, along with last month's rash of deadly storms in the South, have left many members of the NACA family and their loved-ones in need.
In an effort to share information, we have set up a resource page on our website to help those institutions directly impacted by the storm, as well as their communities.
We encourage all members of our NACA community to contribute in any way that they can to support this or other relief efforts. Please visit the resource page at http://naca.ws/luUi0R
