2012 Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership

Registration is now open for the 2012 Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership (MSL). The MSL is a national research program examining how the college environment contributes to student leadership development.

Participating campuses receive comprehensive reports outlining outcome achievement across several leadership-related constructs, rates of participation in key experiences (clubs and organizations, community service, leadership programs) and how they influence learning, and comparisons across outcomes with peer institutions and national data. Participation in MSL is a great way to document student learning, assess student needs, and justify resources.

Feel free to contact Dr. John Dugan at Loyola University Chicago with questions (jdugan1@luc.edu). Much more information is available at: www.leadershipstudy.net

Tornado Victims Need Your Help

The devastation from the recent southern tornadoes has taken a toll among many members of the NACA family.

In an effort to share information, we have set up a resource page on our website to help those institutions directly impacted by the storm, as well as their communities.

We encourage all members of our NACA community to contribute in any way that they can to support this or other relief efforts. Please visit the resource page at http://naca.ws/luUi0R

Upcoming NACA Deadlines

Regional Conference Showcase Selection Committees

If you are in one of the regions listed below, there is still time to apply for a spot on your 2011 showcase selection committee!

The Showcase Selection process involves reviewing audio/visual and printed material submitted by NACA associate members and selecting showcases following discussion and deliberation. A broad view of campus activities and a strong ability to work through the decision-making process as a group member is essential to the process.
