Crown King Community Association Business Updates
| Check your mailboxes for a new membership/dues form from the CKCA!
In January of each year the BOD shall appoint a nomination Committee for "At Large Director". No less than three members including one Director on the committee.. Committee to provide list of candidates for "At Large Director" position. Voting will take place at the "Annual" meeting in 2011. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. Nominees must provide their consent prior to submission. Term of service is two years. Qualifications for voting are; - Eighteen years of age - Resident or property owner within C.K. 86343 postal Zip Code - Dues are paid and current - Seasonal employees are exempted Directors representing the Chamber of Commerce, Historical Society and the C.K Road Maintenance association, their terms are governed by their respective association by-laws.

There is a donation bucket at the General Store for Herb Shepard to cover his gas and vehicle expenses. He has worked many hours using his own equipment on a volunteer basis to help keep our roads clear of the snow this winter. Please give him a big thank you and return the favor with your donation, either in the bucket or online at www.ckrma.org

Note the alert neighbor who called after seeing a suspicious vehicle enter her neighbor's yard. She knew at the time her neighbor was away and called the Sheriff's Office immediately. - Because of her actions, 3 burglars are in custody. Stay alert and thanks for participating in the neighborhood watch program ! ______________

PAST EVENTS:
2nd Annual Hobo Thanksgiving at the Perrin House was a hit! Power Steering Band played at our home, we had alot of CK folks over and the turkeys - smoked and traditional were awesome! December: Tree Trimming Party & Parade of Lights with Santa - Family Event. Santa is in the Parade, and then he brought his bag into the Saloon with individual gifts for each child. Special thank you to the Crown King Saloon for toys and to Santa Nerheim!
Brooke's ASU Graduation Party Weekend - which was also cabin crawl in case anyone forgot. The weekend was wonderful. Thanks to all who attended!
Christmas Day - Did you know there is a new Crown King Athletic Club? We started playing football/whiffleball and a new Christmas Day tradition. Check out Facebook for photos... Also, many locals have started gathering for pot lucks on Friday evenings just for kicks. Its a new take on a tradition from 20 years ago - the "Wild Game Parties". Contact Meara if you would like to host.

Somewhere In Arizona SIA "Crown King, AZ" episode 1 will aired Thursday at 5a and 5:30a in Arizona on Ion Television. Ion can be found on channel 17 if you have Cox cable, or channel 51 if you don't have cable or subscribe to Dish Network. (If you have Direct TV you're outta luck because Direct TV ...only airs the West Coast feed everywhere.) There are also links referencing this on facebook and on the Somewhere in AZ website noted above.
