What has the CKCA and Crown King been up to? | - Membership: We ended 2009 with 162 members, so far in 2010 we are up to 88.
We are now accepting dues for 2010 fiscal year. $10 per person. Mail form and checks (or cash) to Crown
King Community Association, PO Box 176, Crown King, AZ 86343, or drop off at the
General Store. You can download a form here or they are available at the General Store. Questions? Email Peg Martin or call her at 928-632-5484.
We filed for the IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt status; a
step
above the filing approved by the State as a non-profit association. This
would
allow the community to apply for grants . Our filing received the full
attention of the IRS and we were sent an additional detailed list of 15
questions/items to be answered and completed. That followup package has
been
prepared and sent in and we are now anticipating a good result. For your
info,
the IRS contact person was knowledgeable and supportive. Do you think it
was
possibly the stimulus money ????
- The Crown King Community Survey is still open! Many of you have opened
but not completed your surveys. Reminder that both members of household
complete the survey. Please contact Meara if you did not receive one or
if it ended up in your Spam/Junk mailbox.
- The purpose of the survey is to gather data from all property owners and all permanent residents of the Crown King Community.
We
need the data so we can have a record of what issues or concerns exist
in our community. After the survey we will categorize the responses and have them vote and rate the issue on importance. The data at this point can be used to meet with County, State or Forest Service departments.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AND RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY!
Upcoming Events
- Good news! The
businesses, associations of Crown King have come together to create the

Crown King Phone Book
|
Crown King School is
in the process of updating information for the upcoming 2010 Crown King
telephone book. You can contact the school at crownkingschool@yahoo.com with new
phone numbers for the white pages.
We also are selling
space for the yellow page ads. A full page is $50, half page $25, and a
quarter page for $15. A full page measures 4" X 6" and a
quarter page is about the size of a business card. Please contact us for
further information.
The children use the

other extracurricular activity expenses.
We would like to
