Welcome to the Crown King Community Association (CKCA) and our e-Newsletter
|
The Crown King Community Association Newsletter is an extension of the Crown King Website. The
CKCA website is intended to be a formal information center for the
community of Crown King. Additional services the CKCA provides are the
enewsletter, an online process for voting and emergency email alerts.
You can also print this email, forward it to a friend, or view the web version through the link at the top. We will also post all the newsletters in print version at the General Store and you can access all past archived issues here.
It is imperative to make sure we have your correct email information. How to do this: If you change your email or want to use/add a different one please contact Peg or use the "update profile/email address" link at the bottom of every email. Lastly, if you do not want to receive our e-newsletters you can easily remove yourself by using the "SafeUnsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email - no need to contact us for that! |
What has the CKCA and Crown King been up to? |
 - Membership: Now accepting dues for 2010 fiscal year. $10 per person. Mail form and checks (or cash) to Crown
King Community Association, PO Box 176, Crown King, AZ 86343, or drop off at the
General Store. You can download a form here or they are available at the General Store. Questions? Email Peg Martin or call her at 928-632-5484.
- The CKCA quarterly meeting was very informative. Thank you to some
of our newest residents for attending and a special thank you to Matt
from APS for his presentation and explanations on the power situation
in Crown King. You can access the meeting notes by clicking here.
- We have heard back from Melissa at the IRS on 501c3 Status. We have another two weeks to answer some final questions.
Also look for a survey from the Crown King Community Association in your inbox this Friday morning, March 5th! The purpose of the survey is to gather data from all property owners and all permanent residents of the Crown King Community.
We
need the data so we can have a record of what issues or concerns exist
in our community. After the survey we will categorize the responses and have them vote and rate the issue on importance. The data at this point can be used to meet with County, State or Forest Service departments.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AND RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY!
Upcoming Events
- Good news! The
businesses, associations of Crown King have come together to create the
2010 Event Calendar. This calendar is for the entire community! In
fact, it is our goal this year to ensure that all businesses and
associations work in sync to make each event a success! Please contact us if there is a community event that needs to be added
to the webpage. You can access the calendar here

Crown King Phone Book
|
Crown King School is
in the process of updating information for the upcoming 2010 Crown King
telephone book. You can contact the school at crownkingschool@yahoo.com with new
phone numbers for the white pages.
We also are selling
space for the yellow page ads. A full page is $50, half page $25, and a
quarter page for $15. A full page measures 4" X 6" and a
quarter page is about the size of a business card. Please contact us for
further information.
The children use the
proceeds from the phone book to fund field trips, pay for props for plays and
other extracurricular activity expenses.
We would like to
take this opportunity to thank all our friends and neighbors in the community
for their continued support.

Crown King Food Bank
|

for the 4th Thursday of every month from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Those are the hours that Crown King's food
bank is open.
|
Chamber of Commerce |
We do have some intresting speakers coming up for
our next meeting. Representatives from the Arizona Office of Tourism
are coming to do a presentation outlining what we can do to build
tourism in our area. Also to inform us of available grants and funds to
promote tourism. The Chamber is looking forward to this meeting and
moving in to our summer season. All of this will tie in nicely to what
the PNF is wanting to do also.
