is imperative to make sure we have your
correct email information. How to do this: If you change your email or want to use/add a different one please contact Peg or use the "update profile/email address" link at the bottom of every email. Lastly, if you do not want to receive our e-newsletters you can easily remove yourself by using the "SafeUnsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email - no need to contact us for that!

What has the CKCA and Crown King been up to? |
 - NEXT MEETING: Saturday, November 21st, 2009, at 10:00AM at the Schoolhouse
- Future scheduled meetings for CKCA: January 30, 2010
- All meetings start at 10AM and all members and residents are welcome and asked to please attend.
Results of by-law vote, closed 8/28/09. A 2/3 yes vote (or 104) on
all 3 questions was required to amend the bylaws. We obtained well over
that amount on all 3 questions. The CKCA is now in the final stages to
submit the 501(c)(3) paperwork.

Upcoming Events
Chili Cookoff: Saturday, October 10th,
2009. Help make the Chili Cookoff a success! Bring your chili pot and
get in free! Entrance: $12, kids under 13 are $6, includes beer, pop,
water, hot dogs.
Halloween:
Friday, October 30th, 2009. Kids pumpkin carving contest at 6:30PM. Sat the 31st,
8pm is Adult Costume Contest - judging at 11:30PM. Cash prizes! Crownstock: Thanks to the Burkes, the Cosburns and the Colemans, the Crown King Community Church received $276.00
Tony Nelson: Tony drew quite a crowd - almost 60 people at the school on Saturday, Sept 12,
2009. This historical presentation from a 4th generation Crown King
resident, Tony focused on a few stories from residents from the early
1900's. He encouraged all present to record their own family histories.
Dinner
and Movie at Prospector: Our first trial run of Dinner and a Movie at
the Prospector was a success, with a special thanks to Keith Burns, for
donating the picnic tables, sound equipment and movie screen, Dave
Perrin for bringing it up and helping Keith put it all together, Alric Woodward for donating the projector, and Megan for working
tirelessly to keep them all fed. The Prospector is now soliciting movie
ideas, and plans to run this every other weekend.
