BELTANE UNIONS!Kevin and Joy on their wedding day
Kevin & Joy
In the spirit of love and excellent taste (in many ways!)....A huge congratulations to our Chef Joy and Winemaker Kevin for their beautiful October nuptials. Each of them have been a very special and integral part of the Beltane Ranch family for several years. They are a wonderful couple, and if you've been to the ranch, chances are you've tasted a delicious creation by one or the other of them, or if you are lucky, both! We're thrilled to wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Earlier in the summer was the wedding of
Alexa's daughter (Rosemary's
granddaughter and the organizer of this newsletter) Lauren to Steven Krause. After seeing 30 summers of beautiful Beltane weddings, I had my dream wedding!!!  :-) It was the perfect day. Everyone and everything Beltane made it that much more special!  We're very happy to welcome Steven and the Krause/Dankowski clan to the Beltane Ranch Family! Victor's daughter, Esmerelda, served as one of three lovely flower girls!

2011 SAUVIGNON BLANC HARVEST
2011 Sauvignon Blanc on the vineThis season we picked over 50 tons of sauvignon blanc grapes from our Estate Vineyard. We selected fifteen tons of fruit for our third vintage of Beltane Ranch Sauvignon Blanc. Now barrel-aging this young wine is showing all the characteristics that define our Sauvignon Blanc. See the harvest photos Rosemary with Fume Bob here and here. The 2010 vintage has proven a huge success! It has been honored with a silver medal at both the California State Fair and the Sonoma County Harvest Fair, as well as establishing itself as a Sonoma Valley favorite at Michelin-starred restaurants and with home-cooked meals alike.

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT BOB?
Fumé Bob is our new limited release white wine. Fun & unique like its namesake, our pet steer Bob, its a fruit-forward and delicious white from our Estate sauvignon blanc vineyards. See the whole story at

Robust Holiday Red :: MacLeod Family 2009 Sonoma Valley Estate Zinfandel ::
A perfectly prepared steak and a fireplace are ideal pairings for one of our favorite red wines. By our neighbors at MacLeod Family Vineyard, this bright Zinfandel balances intense aromas of ripe blackberry with hints of orange rind, clove, nutmeg and cinnamon.  The distinct characters of Sonoma Valley minerality, solid structure, mild tannins, smooth mouth feel and a lingering finish complete this Zinfandel. $28/bottle.
