APRIL NEWSLETTER

As we enter into Spring it's an amazing time for the church in North America.  During the last few months we have all spoke alot about the winds of change that have come.  We've seen changes from the top to the bottom.  From governments to church leaders rising and falling. From the turbulent financial situations in the USA and Canada to seeing world economies change overnight. People are facing adversity like never before .  We can see very clearly that this is a great time of testing.  This also is a time where we really need to embrace the Lord.

Some people are trying to rebuke this storm that has come, but we don't believe this is a storm to rebuke, we believe this is a storm we have called in to bring the necessary changes for our ministries, communities and nations.  When we see a storm what do we do with it?  If you are a sailor you need to navigate either through it or around it.  In 1Kings 18 we see Elijah praying for rain in  a nation that had just gone through 3 1/2 years of drought.  As Elijah called for rain he knew it would bring with it a rain storm.  It would also refresh the land and break the drought.

The last number of years we have all prayed for changes to come to wake up the body of Christ and we believe this storm that has come is the perfect storm.  Some people are cautioning and some people are afraid, but we know we can endure this storm and watch and see how the Lord delivers us into the next season of harvest.

In the last few months we've heard of many people having dreams and visions of what this transition will bring.  Transition is a good thing, it is a necessary thing to bring forth what God is birthing.  In birth when the baby is coming forth, first you have the labor that prepares the way, then you have a transition time which causes everything in the body to bear down to bring forth the baby.  It is a time when nothing can stop what's about to come forth!  We believe we are in that time.  Nothing can stop what God wants to birth.  No bail out plan will stop the bleeding. We have to embrace God's changes and let Him birth His righteousness in us and our land.

In Isaiah 51:9a it says, "Awake, awake and put on strength O arm of the Lord awake as in the days of old".  Through these times of change put your trust in the Lord and draw your strength from Him.

It's not a time to panic but a time to pray and seek His face.  It's time to live in His promise of  Phil 4:19 "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus".

Be Blessed,

MISSION UPDATES

GUATEMALA
We have been back to Guatemala since the last update.  Many things are changing there as they have here and businesses are feeling the global economic crisis.  Credit lines are being pulled and industry must take on new strategies.  Guatemala is  having to deal with raising up the next generation to carry the torch of revival.  Do they want it?  Are they rising up?  We can see many signs of  a hunger for God brewing but at the same time the enemy is at work.  Gangs, drugs and alcohol are robbing the teens.  The way the youth dress and act show signs of leaving behind a once cherished culture.  We have had the awesome opportunity of establishing a Bible School in  southern Guatemala.  Many of the students are young and eager.  We have been teaching them the ways of the Kingodm.

LOCAL NEWS

DESTINY CENTRE
On the local front we have experienced many changes in 2009.  We moved our offices into our home which has proved to be very convenient and
cost efficient.  We have changed the name of the local church from Kingdom Faith Centre to Destiny Centre.  There was confusion over the name 'Kingdom" and many people unfortunately associated it with us being a Jehovah's Witnesses church.  We know however that the "Kingdom of God" is the realm and dimension that God rules from and we are a vital part!

During the times in which we live there seems to be a hunger to know what the future holds.  In crisis times people begin to ask many questions about their destiny so the name "Destiny Centre' seemed to be a perfect fit.  Because of the prophetic call and nature of our church, our passion is to direct people into discovering and fulfilling their destiny in Christ.

MIGRANT WORKER SERVICES
We are working together with one of our local churches in Delta to hold services for some of the Migrant Workers that have been brought into our community from Mexico and Guatemala.  They work in many of the greenhouses nearby.  we have held Worship Services for them and seen great fruit with over 25 first time salvations!  Praise the Lord!

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF DESTINY
Our call is to train and equip the saints. Our International School of Destiny has partnered with Pastor Abdias Lemus from the Christian Fraternity Church. We have 30 students we are teaching weekly in Surrey and many of them are Spanish.  This is very exciting to see the hunger in these people as we are already half way through the first semester.  We will begin Semester 2 in September 2009.

WHO ARE WE?

Darcy and Glenda Dubé, after twenty years of successful business, now pastor a church called Destiny Centre in the South Gate of Delta, B.C. They are both ordained and licensed with Kingdom Harvest Ministries International.

With an intense hunger for more of God and a heart for revival, their vision is to help release, equip and activate the saints in God's Kingdom.  They have a burning prophetic fire within them to minister life, deliverance and healing as they speak the Word of God.  The Lord has done a deep work within them and their passion is to see God's people changed by the presence, fire and glory of God.  God has called them to prophetically proclaim and declare God's will.

Their international ministry (Kingdom Harvest Ministries International also known as K.H.M.I.) takes them around the world ministering with signs and wonders in many different countries.

They have travelled  as spiritual ambassadors to the nations having spoken in 42 countries to business leaders, politicians and Who's who in Central America and other countries.  They have been able to speak prophetically into the lives of many people.

They have a vision to help children in less fortunate countries and have poured many resources into Central America, Sri Lanka and Southern Sudan.

They reside in Delta, British Columbia with their family.
