HRP Associates, LLP (HRPA)
A new partnership between Jeffrey M. Cohen and Cheryl A. Savini
At our new location on Park Avenue in New York City, this exciting partnership offers our present and future clients an expanded range of services in the human subjects protection field; as well as cost-effective solutions in these times of economic crisis. We provide the following services for both civilian and military clients:

HRP Associates Awarded NIH Accreditation Consulting Contract
HRP Associates (HRPA) has been awarded a consulting contract to assist NIH in its goal of obtaining full accreditation by 2010. This project will involve an evaluation of the current human subjects' protection policies and practices. The final product of this evaluation will be an NIH Application for AAHRPP accreditation.
HRPA was selected for this project based on our extensive and successful experience in assisting institutions obtain accreditation. To date, HRPA has assisted 12 clients obtain accreditation and is currently working with several other clients in various stages of the accreditation process. |

About HRPA
Founded in 2005 by Jeffrey Cohen as a consulting firm focusing solely on human research protection programs, HRPA is now a partnership with Cheryl Savini.
Jeffrey M. Cohen, Ph.D., CIP, has thirty years experience in the field of human research protections, including serving as an IRB administrator, Director of Education at the Office for Human Research Protections in the Department of Health and Human Services, and Associate Dean for Research Compliance at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Cheryl Savini, CIP, has over eighteen years experience in human research protections, including serving as an IRB member, IRB administrator, Research Compliance Officer, HRPP Director of a large medical University, and as a Quality Assurance Manager for the Human Subjects Research Office at the US Department of the Navy.
HRPA has worked with over fifty institutions/organizations to improve their HRPPs and assist in the training and education of IRB members, institutional officials, investigators, research coordinators, and IRB administrators.
An important part of HRPA's work has been assisting institutions in obtaining AAHRPP accreditation. HRPA has over 20 accreditation clients - 12 of which have already received accreditation with HRPA's assistance throughout the entire process.
