Dear Friend of Canyon Ranch Institute,
I hope that your fall is as exciting as ours has been so far! It's been a season of "firsts" for Canyon Ranch Institute. In partnership with Urban Health Plan, we celebrated the opening of our brand-new Health & Wellness Center at Urban Health Plan. The center will be used by Canyon Ranch Institute Life Enhancement Program participants as a place to exercise, meditate, relax, and participate in wellness classes and activities.
In addition, thanks to the kind support of people like you and an amazing group of participants who came to Canyon Ranch to learn about cancer prevention and survivorship, the first-ever CRI LIVESTRONG Week was an astounding success. You can see a slide show and learn more about the festivities by clicking here. We are thrilled to continue advancing cancer prevention and survivorship with our partner the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
We also hosted our first-ever CRI Community Health and Wellness Workshop. Promotoras, adult literacy educators, and health educators involved in our partnership with the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health attended lectures and experiential sessions focused on health literacy, exercise physiology, nutrition, and behavioral health.
On behalf of all of us at Canyon Ranch Institute, thank you for your continuing support. If you would like to learn more about us or how you can become involved, please visit www.canyonranchinstitute.org or contact me.
In Good Health,

CRI and Partner the Lance Armstrong Foundation Co-host First-Ever CRI LIVESTRONG Week Tucson, AZ
CRI and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) joined with Canyon Ranch in Tucson to present the first-ever CRI LIVESTRONG Week October 4-10, 2009. As part of the week, CRI and LAF selected 12 CRI LIVESTRONG Fellows who participated in the week without charge. Some CRI LIVE STRONG Fellows were cancer survivors and others were focused on cancer prevention. Coming from six states, the Fellows ranged in age from 25 to 80 years young and provided detailed feedback about their experiences to help CRI, LAF, and Canyon Ranch better understand the potential for offering future programs that present cancer prevention and survivorship in the context of optimal health and wellness.
CRI LIVE STRONG Week ended successfully with the first-ever CRI LIVESTRONG Day Celebration and fundraiser. All proceeds from the event were equally shared by CRI and LAF, both of which are non-profit organizations that are making a positive difference in the lives of millions of people. Read More
