DID YOU KNOW?

"Little things can change the world.  A healthier planet is a healthier you!"

There are many things you can do to help the environment.
 Think about these tips:
-  Install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) when your older incandescent bulbs burn out.  Too high to reach? Let EWC do that for you!
-  Use a "smart" power strip that senses when appliances are off and cuts "phantom" or "vampire" energy use.
-  Walk, bike, or car pool to work.  This saves on gas and parking costs.
Frequently Asked Questions?

Q.  How long has EWC been in business?
A.  We have been serving the Greater Cincinnati Tri State Area since 1960.

Q.  To what do you attribute your success?
A.  Our long history in the window cleaning industry is due to our dedication to safety, quality of service, dependability, professionalism, and efficiency.

Q. Are your window technicians properly trained and insured?
A.  Each of our technicians attends monthly safety meetings with topics covered by OSHA and approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/IWCA I-14.1.  We have full coverage for the work we perform.

Q,  How can a water fed pole clean my windows?
A.  The windows are brushed and then rinsed with pure water that has no minerals and impurities in it.  This allows windows to be cleaned remarkably well and doesn't harm the environment!

Greetings!

Did you know that Erlanger Window Cleaning Company has gone GREEN?  We are proud to make our own contribution to keep the environment free of pollutants.
Our recent switch to a cleaning product made from using fine natural ingredients such as essential oils and coconut based cleaners allow us to clean windows leaving nothing but a natural streak free shine. In addition, we are introducing a new water fed pole system that utilizes deionized water instead of soap to  clean glass.
Don't hesitate to call on us for any of your window cleaning and exterior maintenance needs!  I also invite you to follow us on our new TWITTER site for up to date information on specials.
Sincerely,
Victor Munson
President

EWC WELCOMES NEW OFFICE ASSOCIATE
________________________________________
HeatherHeather Martherus recently joined Erlanger Window Cleaning Company as an Office Associate in June and is one of the friendly voices customers hear when calling to inquire about window cleaning and exterior building maintenance needs.  Heather is originally from Kentucky and loves dealing with the general public.  Her general office knowledge and skills makes her a welcomed addition to the EWC family!
WHAT GREEN PRODUCTS ARE WE USING?   Design for the Environment

EWC is now using Green Works natural products to clean windows!  Green Works is a proud supporter of the Sierra Clubs efforts to preserve and protect the planet.  This product of Green Works is recognized by the US EPA's Design for the Environment (DfE) Program by using safe chemistry.  The DfE is a program started by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to reduce risk to people and the environment by preventing pollution.  Basically, the DfE logo on a product is short hand to say the ingredients inside protect the environment and are safer for families.

EWC is also implementing (when possible) its new Ionic Water Fed Pole to clean exterior windows.  Water fed poles use deionized water instead of soap to clean glass.  Not only safer for the environment with no harsh chemicals, it is safer for our employees!  Keeping workers feet on the ground reduces the risk of accidents by eliminating ladders, lift and rope descent systems. This is a great tool to use for more frequent cleanings and helps to maintain the beauty of a building's exterior!
JON ENCOURAGES BUILDING OWNERS AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TO INSPECT
All INSTALLATIONS
EWC LOGO
Jon Arreguin, Vice President Services for  Erlanger Window Cleaning Company, is well versed in the Window Cleaning Safety Standard of ANSI/IWCA I14.1. He encourages all building owners and property managers to follow OSHA regulations which requires them to provide a Letter of Assurance to their contractors (Ex: Window Cleaning Co.) under Standards-29 CFR 1910.66(c)(3).  This, then, gives the go ahead to the contractor to allow their employees to utilize the installation for performing their building maintenance duties.  The contractor's responsibility, then, is to train their employees in the safe use of all support, suspended and safety systems for each specific building.  Jon indicates that this is a common practice at Erlanger Window Cleaning Company as we prepare and train our employees for each specific building we service.  He also mentions that the goal should be to have all parties working together to eliminate every hazard that exists at a work site.
SOME ENCOURAGING NEWS ON THE ECONOMY
from Steve Hancox, EWC Vice President Marketing
While we are certainly not out of the woods, there is a growing list of signs that the economy may have hit bottom and is on an upswing.
The stock market is up 50% versus its lowest level since its free-fall, largely on the strength of earnings news and projections. Second Quarter, 2009 GDP decreased by 1.0% versus the first quarter (which was down 6.4%), a much better result than anticipated.  The unemployment rate fell in July for the first time in 15 months, giving a strong indication that the economy may be turning around from its deep recession.  Global surveys are finding that the sharp decline in global manufacturing has ended.  One survey cites that all regions are reporting improvements, with more than 3/4 of countries posting gains in both output and orders.  Many economist are worried about the sustainability of these improvements, but it appears reasonable to assume that a significant corner has been turned.
