Hello Buzz Readers! This issue is waaaay overdue and for that I apologize, but my Brokers class is finally over and I passed! Now.. on to the news...

The Villages of Five Points are getting three new tenants: Touch of Italy, Kidz Closet (upscale resale children's clothing and toys - 703-2334) and the Sussex Coastal Dance Academy. This will be Touch of Italy's 2nd location in Lewes and their third at the beach.  Just bought a pumpkin cheesecake from the downtown Lewes shop and I gotta tell ya, that first bite was a religious experience.

New shops in Tanger Bayside include Body Central (apparel and accessories), Spritz Designer Fragrance and Direct Tools. In Tanger Seaside will be Crazy 8 (children's clothing).

The Maggio Shields Real Estate Cafe and Chef Deberah Sutter of Nourish have combined talents to become The Café by Chef Deb. Nourish will still continue at its Boardwalk location but will close the Rehoboth Avenue store.

Green Man Juice Bar & Bistro will be used as a set for an independent film titled, The Next Nik and Epworth Church has opened Scott's Chapel and Art Gallery.

Nancy A reports that Rehoboth Seafood has the most amazing blackened tuna wraps and filet mignon sandwiches. Mary M is a big fan of Cilantro's authentic Mexican cuisine and says owner/chef Gladys is delightful. Mary recommends the ceviche and the grilled steak (and I personally can't get enough of the Chile Relleno de Queso!)

The Hawaiian Crab Bar & Grill in West Fenwick will be serving a FREE Thanksgiving Dinner for families in need. For more information please contact Peggy Morrissey 231-8573

Big Fish Grill offers cooking classes at the Rehoboth location featuring menu items from the Big Fish Grill and Summer House.  Speaking of classes, the East Coast Garden Center has some fun ones like Cooking & Decorating for the Holidays taught by Marty Austin of Williams-Sonoma.

I've lived here almost 6 years and till recently, had never been to Seaford. I had business there recently so I checked Trip Advisor for a good lunch spot and was glad I did. Bon Appetit was absolutely charming and the food was terrific.  Very French and nicely done! Karen Pedemonte (owner) could not have been more gracious. 629-3700  While in Seaford I also checked out The Bath Shop at 2 Cats in the Yard. Precious! So take a drive already...!

Last issue a reader asked for recommendations for breakfast and YOU responded!  25% of you said Crystal Restaurant in Rehoboth giving it the number 1 spot.  Readers love the Crab Benedict and the Mimosas! In 2nd place it was a three way tie between Surf Bagel (Lewes), Royal Treat (Rehoboth) and Sunrise Cafe (Dewey).  14 other restaurants shared the spotlight equally including  The Wharf (Lewes), The Vintage Cafe (Milton), the Country Kitchen (Millsboro) the Elks Lodge (Lewes) and more. One of my fave emails was from Barry G, "I am 63 and not a big Dewey Beach partier. ..we happened upon The Starboard one Sunday which my wife and I thought was just a booze and dance place. Epiphany! Great variety (and a menu with humor) with very good food (Bloodies are good too!)". Thanks everyone!

In case we haven't met, my name is Deb Griffin and I'm a Realtor® living in Lewes. My team is The Jetty Group and we are part of the Maggio Shields Real Estate Cafe. I've been here full time for five years, and I love living at the beach! Every day I learn more about the area and its resources, so the Local Buzz was created as a way to share information with newer Sussex visitors and residents like myself.  I donate a portion of my commissions to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary, Sussex County's no-kill shelter.
