Where to begin?? So much to tell!!
Let's start with restaurant news. The Local Buzz has become friends with the Rehoboth Foodie, Bob Yesbek, so it's great fun to see which of us can get the scoop on new eateries first! From Bob I learned that the Broadkill Boathouse is now open in Milton in the former Iguana Grill space (right on the water!) Friends who were there opening night said the food was good and quite reasonable 684-2628. Bob's site also reported that Matt's Fish Camp is now open (just south of the Indian River Bridge 539-CAMP. Also - check out "Grilled Cheese and Beyond" - my newest column on Bob's site, RehobothFoodie. It's all about vegetarian options at area restaurants.
Shag (which had a brief moment as the Atlantic Jazz Yard) will become Cypress, featuring New Orleans style cuisine (Wilmington Avenue). Saladworks is coming to the Shoppes of Camelot in the former Movie Gallery space (thanks Brittany D). No final word on our Panera yet ... you'll know as soon as I do!
Hobos is having a big blowout benefit to celebrate their second anniversary with an open buffet from 5-10 pm on Friday, May 6. They are asking for a $10 per person donation which will be given to Delaware Guidance. Congrats Gretchen!
K&H Bagels are now open on Coastal Highway behind La Tonalteca. 645-1535 (thanks Jay Y) In that same shopping center will be Sunny Day (hydroponics/aquaponics) opening early May.

When I lived in the DC area, there was a cool men's store named Universal Gear. They have a second shop in New York City and as I mentioned in the last issue, they will soon open a third store HERE on Baltimore Avenue. I mean, how cool is THAT when a store with locations in DC and NYC opens in Rehoboth Beach? I'm telling you people, we are ON THE MAP!
East of Maui Surf Shop is opening a second location in Lewes near the Bay (sometime in July). Del Sol has moved to a new location next to Dos Locos. Did you know everything they sell changes color in the sun? It's C R A Z Y! (love the nail polish) On Rehoboth Avenue 226-9090; Kevin Fleming is opening a store/studio in the one story brick building near FINS on Rehoboth Avenue.
The Zwaanendael Women's Club (the Z Club for short) is looking for new members. For info call 354-4102 (Join them for their National Museum of American History trip to Washington DC on May 25).
JollyTrolley is celebrating its 41st Season and has added airport/bus/train station and local car service. 227-1197
Please let Groupon know we need a Rehoboth location (great idea thanks to Judy R)
Was driving around just north of Surf Bagel and there are now 15 new/used RVs at Brinton's RV Sales and Service; also on the premises is Ken's Screening offering rescreening and screen repairs. 593-3766
Midway Fitness is now open 24/7. They have the area's only indoor racquetball court. 645-0407
