Dear Animal Lovers,
 
With the success of this event The Rescue Train can keep our doors open and continue our critical work of saving dogs and cats from euthanasia. For the past four years hosting this event we have shared the proceeds with many other animal rescue groups in the community. Due to the economic downturn our donations are down 40% with grant proceeds down 60% -- all the while the city shelters are flooded with animals due to foreclosures! The animals need us now more than ever!
 
This annual event Race For The Rescues helps fund approximately six months of our rescue work each year. Without its success and the monies needed to fund our rescue, the animals will truly suffer. Celebrate the gift of life and help us help the desperately needy dogs and cats by joining this event.
