You are invited: Lights On Everywhere

This special edition of the Commissioner Update is a personal invitation to attend one of the more than 40 Lights On Afterschool events planned at our LINC Caring Communities sites for Thurs., Oct. 21. This is one of the larger efforts in the nation organized in an individual community.

Our afterschool programs are a critical component in our extensive network of "community schools." Our LINC Caring Communities sites provide a valuable service that cares for children, engages families and opens the school doors to neighbors.

If you want to represent the LINC Commission at an event, contact us and we can make arrangements, call (816) 410-8350. This will be a great evening and a wonderful opportunity to experience and enjoy our community relationships.

On our special Lights On webpage you will also find a two-page fact sheet about afterschool efforts in Missouri. America After 3pm is an invaluable survey that was developed by the Afterschool Alliance.
