Pick up any newspaper and you will find an article about the economy. While many communities across the nation are waiting for "the government" to fix the economic problem, others are using community planning to change the course of their future.
At T&B Planning, we are working closely with these communities in a variety of ways as they create and implement their own Community Planning, Historic Preservation Planning, and Heritage Tourism Planning programs to spur economic growth and other benefits.
Whether your community is new or was founded centuries ago, places with distinct and interesting features are proven to be more stable and desirable to residents, businesses, and visitors. Capitalizing on those assets is a sound economic strategy.
T&B Planning is proud to serve as the Design Assistance Advisor for the Pennsylvania Wilds Initiative. The Initiative is strengthening the economy of a 12½-county region by growing the nature and heritage tourism industry, in part by thoughtful community planning.
We invite you to enjoy the following YouTube Video about the Pennsylvania Wilds Initiative and its continued success.

The Pennsylvania Wilds Design Guide, authored by T&B Planning, highlights how communities can protect or enhance their authentic characters as they grow - whether that growth is due to tourism or other industries. It serves as a resource for the region's developers, planners, architects, business or property owners, revitalization partners, and community leaders. T&B Planning continues to be involved with the Design Guide's implementation, including grant management under the federal Preserve America program.
