Evolution Triple Quad mentioned in Food Quality magazine and Food Safety Online Signature Series

The Oct./Nov. 2009 issue of Food Quality magazine featured an article on detecting food pesticides with mass spec and discussed our Evolution product. You can read the full article here.

Also, we have a study that was published in Food Safety Magazine's Signature Series: Eighty-nine pesticides found in mushroom and fruit samples were analyzed with an Evolution Triple Quadrupole-upgraded Agilent 5975 GC-MS/MS. The samples were spiked with 5 ppb of the 89 pesticides, and after a QuEChERS and thermal desorption procedure, were analyzed with the GC and the MS/MS in SRM mode. Sensitivity was excellent, far superior to a traditional Single Quadrupole system. Read the full article here.

Above left is an Agilent 7890/5975, which has been upgraded to a Triple Quadrupole instrument for far superior sensitivity for samples with dirty matrix. The image on the right shows the inside of the system, with the original Agilent inert source, hyperbolic quadrupole and detector, and the added 90-degree collision cell and quadrupole.
