Scissor or Shears?

So what's the difference? Technically, you call them scissors when the length is 6" or less and the finger holes are the same size. Shears are usually 7" to 12" with one larger finger hole, which is designed to fit more than one finger! To keep your fabric shears sharp, don't use them to cut anything but fabric.
