Perfect Pocket Planning!
For perfect pockets, gather the items you intend on putting in the pockets before you even begin to make it. Measure and record the size of each object. For items that you want to have fast and easy access to, like a pen, make the pocket a little shorter than the item. For items that you want to have safely tucked away, like your new iPod, make the pocket a little higher. Based on the object that is going to be in the pocket, be sure to add in extra fabric to create ease. For instance, a pocket for a comb can be flatter than a pocket for a hair brush that needs more room.
