Note from Kelly
Hello again my decorating friends!
It is that time of year again- let the stress begin! My family and friends are all simplifying this year and have cut back on gifts and even dinners out. I am not a big Christmas decorator, but I do enjoy making the house look festive. I try to work with a few select colors every year with ornaments and accessories to make a more dramatic look. This year I am going with red and gold like my wreath I made here for my front door.
IS ReDesign was featured in the Valley Breeze on December 3 in the Holiday section. I gave many different ideas for color combinations and miscellaneous decorating ideas for the season. Click Here to read full article.
I have been fortunate the last few months to be so busy with my decorating business. I have been working long term with a client redoing her condo that I can not wait to share all the pictures with you. We have almost finished up and I will feature in the January newsletter. I have also done quite a few color consults in the last month, helping clients select paint colors. I have included before and after pictures below on a project I just completed in Cumberland.
Be sure to check out my new decorating blog, Kelly's Decorating Blog. I hope to write new ideas, before & after projects and new hints and tips. Visit me here Kelly's Decorating Blog or you can find it on my website. I will also put the link below. Please visit and leave me your comments!
May all your Christmas wishes come true.

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. ~Dr. Seuss

Decorating Tips
Just a couple quick ideas for easy, beautiful, inexpensive decorating:
These photos were taken at a home in Cumberland, RI. The walls were originally a pale yellow. The colors chosen here complimented the existing furniture and gave the room a warm comfortable look the owners were looking for. The colors used were Benjamin Moore. HC-86, Kingsport Gray was painted on the bottom half of the existing chair rail. The color # 1117, Guesthouse was used on the top of railing. Do you see how paint color can really change the whole mood of the room? A very quick and inexpensive way to update your home.
