Do you know anyone who is looking for a furry friend? There are an abundance of animals at the Humane Society of Skagit Valley that are waiting patiently for their loving and forever homes. As animal lovers, we all know the pure love, joy, and happiness these companions offer. They enrich our lives in countless ways. If you know of anyone who is willing and able to make the commitment of adopting a dog or cat, please forward this their way. With this in mind, we want to introduce a few of the animals that have been at the Shelter for awhile. It is time we show the animals to never, ever give up hope.
If you go to the Shelter and these pets are already placed, there are many other loving pets waiting to be adopted. |
What do you mean you have other things to do besides play?
I'm Riley

|
I am very affectionate, and it is no problem for me to nuzzle you in case you forget to pay attention to me. I love walking on a leash. I am obsessed with zip ties; they keep me entertained for hours at a time. I am seven years old and I am rather used to having the run of the house.

Look at this face...am I handsome or what?
I'm Milo |
I am about four years old now. I consider myself the luckiest dog alive because when I jumped out of that ditch along the highway, there were people in their car and they stopped to help me. I know basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down. For some reason, cats don't like me too much. I desperately want to be your new best friend and will exceed your every expectation. |
Where to next?
Hi! I'm Ketch |
I am a little over two years old and will accompany you everywhere you go. I am used to living with other dogs or being your one and only dog would work too. I am very loyal. I can't wait to meet you.

Do I detect a cookie in your pocket?
My name is Cookie Monster |
I am three years old and love to play. I am very grateful to be in a kitty roaming room with other cats while I wait to go to my forever loving home. |
I love everyone!
I'm Frannie |
I am a very mellow, docile, and sweet girl. I love being around other dogs too. I was found running as a stray. At eight years old, I was very scared being out in the world by myself. I enjoy a slower pace but I am still lots of fun and playful. |
Did someone say Black Cat Auction...you wouldn't dare.
I'm Mrs. Jones |
I am six years old and am very used to being around adults and children. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to sit with you and chat about whatever is on your mind. I am quite the conversationalist, you know.

They say I am purr-fection.
I'm Lisa |
There I was a stray cat and one day I saw this pet door and walked through. The people there explained to me that they could not care for another cat and I deserved the best so they brought me here. I am four years old.
